(Something Snappy and Instrumental from Master and Commander)

WAR

Yes, friends, this is my official declaration of war.

Yesterday, Granite posted an article so offensive, poorly conceived, and hypocritical that I have been forced to show him the error of his views in the only way possible:

Blog Warz

As of this moment Roborant is in a state of war with The Box. Unfortunately I need to spend the rest of the day at work, so I can do little more than make the announcement and recall all of my diplomats at this time.

Sharpen your blades. Call your muster. Hide your daughters (if you're a beacon of 'modern' catholic values). War is upon the lands.

That being said, war is a gentleman's game. All is fair, but take none of it personally. Or at least not without a large pinch of snuff.

POW Biatch!

You need to explain your stance a little better...

And did you actually read my blog? Or were you just happy to see my post?

Ouch Liam, I'm hurt.

I wrote the post while extremely frustrated, and I may have been watchin House at the time.

All I really wanted to say is that:
1) The way we choose what parental decisions and preferences others are able to override and which we will not seems to be chosen recklessly, and completely at random.
2) Decisions at higher levels that allow children to completely avoid their parents does create obstacles in the parental-child relationship. Why would your kids ever want to relate to you if they can do everything without you? If we're heading down that road, why not head the Aurora route (from Isaac Asimov's the Naked Sun) and send children to child-rearing centres immediately after birth? That way we can go ahead and ensure everyone is raised in the same environmental conditions.

I've typed all this on the Blackberry because I wanted to comment immediately and to say I am disappointed at your declaration of war. I am curious to see what your objection is specifically.

And to the other naysayers, please respond as well. I'd be curious to hear other perspectives, and a dialogue may help ensure I am not painted with the wrong brush.

As I said, work keeps me from the keys.

Just keep your collective shirts on, though. What comes will come in a day or two.

And, Jordan, war is a gentleman's game.

A gentleman's game? Ha.

Yes, and so many conflicts have surely begun as this one has. One party appears out of the fog with flashes of light and the sting of lead while the other is left confused regarding the cause of the war.

Bad form.

As I think I've said on your blog, the whole reason I declared war first was in order to avoid the "appearing from the fog" scenario.

Lay off the snuff.

Liam, I poured alot of time (both in writing and living) into my post. I am very disappointed with the # of comments, aka, people reading it. Please advertise me blog in the mainstream here....

Thanks

Damnit man! Can't you see we're at war?

People are dying out there and Wolfgang is looking for a readership.

This war is having too many casualities.
